The Vidalia City School System is proud to announce that their Teacher of the Year is Julie Caraballo. Caraballo, an 18-year veteran teacher, has been with the Vidalia City School System for 17-years and currently is a 7th-grade teacher at J.R. Trippe Middle School.

Members of the VHS HOSA Organization recently traveled to Washington D.C. for their National Conference, including organizations from 36 different states. While there, students enjoyed sessions provided by guest speakers on a wide array of subjects, including “Substance Abuse” and “Marketing,” among others.

The Vidalia City Board of Education has tentatively adopted a 2021 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes for Montgomery County by 2.36 percent. This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 14.852 mills, an increase of .342 mills for the Montgomery County portion. Toombs County's millage rate will not require an increase.
